Info for anyone trying to decide which to buy:
"The M1/M2/M3 only have two display engines, one is always used for the internal display, so only one external display is supported.

The Pro variants have 3 display engines (1 internal, 2 external displays) and Max variants have 4 (M1 Max) or 5 (M2/M3 Max) display engines (1 internal, 3 or 4 external displays).

The display engines use considerable amount of space in the silicon, so they are pretty expensive."

BUT, 3 years of AppleCare+ is $40 cheaper at Costco, FYI.

Same price as Best Buy and Amazon, Costco is the winner with their free 2nd Year Warranty.
Unless Amazon lowers their price more for prime day.

Price valid for the next 3 days until July 14th.

I literally bought this for $950 less than 3 months ago. https://imgur.com/a/ui0Zcve

Get it now, either here, or Amazon, or Best Buy while you can!

If anyone within the 90 (past 30) day window that has also ordered this at Costco, I can give you a transcript that might help you get a price guarantee refund. Essentially suggest them it's better than credit as courtesy than to process a refund for it.

really tempted, but after reading about the slow 256 storage in the M2, I think I'm either going M1 or M3.

It's a macbook so not like you're gonna often need fast storage speeds, it's already SSD and pretty neat. I have same model and I'm a heavy user and it's been great especially for the price. Amazing upgrade from intel based chips.

nice! I'll try not to worry about the ssd then. Probably one of those overblown things.

I ordered a refurb M2 air from Best Buy for $720 to test drive. going to compare against a M1 air and see which one I prefer. The other thing I read was the speakers on the M1 sound clearer? But lots of other benefits for M2. Most likely its worth it to purchase the M2 from Costco as new and for the warranty. Looks like I have till the 14th!
