I got this for my 11 year old a few months ago. It's nothing amazing, but it's a deal for his usage. Handles all the YouTube video game tutorials he can throw at it. I've used it a few times and was impressed more than disappointed. For this price it's hard to get anything better.

thanks for posting this OP Smilie

not sure if this upgrade video/review applies maybe someone will jump in and comment who has some more insight? Smilie

https://laptopmedia.com/review/ac...driver/#p7

here's the microcenter listing for it I believe which goes into a bit more detail on the specs

https://www.microcenter.com/produ...steam-blue

If I'm correct looks like shared graphics that are run off the processor which could potentially eat up the non upgradeable ram performance .. but on the other hand cripes at this price you really can't complain can you? Smilie ...I'm wondering how old the battery would be on a refubished laptop and how much "life" it would have left on it though I'm guessing if you had to it shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement battery like say this one

https://www.gotlaptopparts.com/pr...ah-ap19b5k

.... on the other hand if you'd prefer a more expensive laptop with upgradable ram and the ability to add a second hard drive (always helpful so you're not say storing all your files on the "C" drive in case you need to restore Windows from a previous restore point - though you could do that with an external drive too admittedly, I've just been spoiled by my laptop purchases so far all having that second hard drive bay Stick Out Tongue ) you could save up for that instead... but as someone pointed out in the comments for someone who's not using the computer for intensive stuff (in other words you're just going on the internet, generating text documents, dealing with pdf's and so forth) I'm guessing this would be more than sufficient.
