Lol I remember trying one of these things for a Switch and the entire time I was like "wtf is going on?! Why ain't it working!"

Turns out you can't just use any usbc to hdmi adapter, you need a fancy one.

Great price if it actually works with iPhone/ipad. The Apple brand one costs $60. Worth the risk for $5 and Amazon returns are easy if it doesn't work.

Yeah similar experience. It turns out that lots of new devices are not backwards compatible even it says so.
