True, but that's also how I ended up with a digital book collection of 1700+ books. I'm probably able to read abou5t 20+ books a year right now so.....

Too bad no Audible addon. Looks like they only sell the individual books there.

With today's ai ability to text to voice, why is audible still the only decent option? The ai could be made to do a fantastic job of reading the text....

after asking this question, I found out you can just ask Amazon Alexa to read the book for you. out of your Kindle library, seems to work.

I remember Amazon had a text to voice option, but it got challenged by publishers in copyright and Amazon caved.

I think the Audible market isn't that large so I don't think there's that many competitors. Also, I don't trust other store fronts to be around, so it exacerbates the issue.

I think current AI would do it so well too.
