The "Other Android Smartphone" credit worries me a bit as the trade in requirements are a bit vague. I have a plethora of old android phones that I would be glad to get rid of though so hopefully it will work out.
I'm not comfortable letting old devices with batteries sit around for years as it's a possible fire hazard. However it does seem to be a wise and frugal to hold on to them for useful trades and bonuses.
You can always try repurposing them as cheap wifi cams, single app devices and such but given that IP cams and used Firetablets are so cheap these days, repurposing old smartphones doesn't seem viable anymore. Regardless, thanks again OP as I feel like I got a decent deal. Just hope the Android phone trade in works out...
I own Jet 75 and a LG variant. LG came with a charging stand and extra battery. LG is not charging. The f! I'm in for Jet 75+.

I couldn't get the EDU method to work smoothly. It asked me to verify via ID.me before being able to add to the cart and required more details, attachment for proof of student, etc. that seemed too much of a hassle.
