Is there a reason this is running at 5200 ram speeds instead of 5600?

I think it's because of the 2x32gb config.

How's the build quality compared to Lenovo Legion and Alienware?

I just bought this exact laptop from Acer on EBay.

Need to:

1. Remove all the bloatware, not much tbh.
2. Update everything in windows. This solved issues I was having.
3. Run the acer predator app and update anything that comes up.
4. Install the Nvidia software and run updates.

Updates solved 99% of the issues I was having as silly as it sounds. Overall, exactly what I was looking for in a laptop that I'll use for 2-3 years.

I've had a the Legion and Alienware. This has a better build quality compared to the two you asked about.

Not to be that guy, but considering that the Legion 5i and Legion 7i are considered the top of the crop when it comes to build quality, I highly doubt that.

I bought and returned 2 of these. Neither could wake from sleep, even after going through tech support and updating bios, drivers, windows, power plan, etc.

At first, I thought you were right, the Legions are known to be exceptionally well built. But I looked it up, and I'm impressed. This Acer is CNC-milled from a single block of aluminum, it's a full metal case. This laptop is in fact very well constructed, more solid than a Legion Pro 7. This doesn't necessarily mean it will last longer before it fails (as we've seen with all the battery failures in the premium metal Razer gaming laptops), but the shell is solid.

Acer is really working hard to claw back their gaming laptop reputation, and I'd say they're doing a great job of it.

It's amazing that we can currently buy such a premium high end laptop for this low of a price.

Now if only Acer would enable undervolting...
