How much is your eye power
I have known people with eye problems who made an appointment with their primary care physician so they could get a referral to a special list and pay $40 for the specialist visit instead of $100 by not getting the referral.
By the time they had to wait weeks for an appointment to see the primary care physician and to see the specialist the problem had become worse and they had to get monthly eye injections and it still never brought them back to normal eye sight.
When I had an issue I immediately called the best specialist in town, who had me come in that afternoon. I paid $100 but they said the insurance will often times reduce that because they realize with eyes it can be an emergency. In the end the insurance only charged $55.
Eyes aren't replaceable.

What was the irreversible problem that was exacerbated by the delay in treatment resulting in the need for monthly eye injections?
David, our founder, had been selling contacts for some time, when he noticed a troubling trend: each year the big pharma contact lens companies kept hiking their prices...and the end consumers (you!) were feeling the burn.
People hesitated before buying lenses.
Some people just kept wearing glasses. Others would overwear lenses and risk their eye health - because they couldn't afford a fresh, replacement pair. 😔
David was determined to create a solution
Eye power for lenses, also known as lens power, is the amount of power needed to focus images onto the retina and correct vision. It's measured in diopters, and you can find it in the "PWR/SPH" column of your eyeglass or contact lens prescription.
