I'm seeing the same per-ounce cost at Target (for the 5-count boxes), and they also have the red velvet flavor.

Checked my Target stores, Amazon is 20 cents less per ounce than Target. Still not that good of a deal though, most certainly not "slick"

With red card they're 1 cent cheaper per bar.

Same amount of fat as a Baby Ruth and a little bit more than a Snickers. They probably taste pretty good since they are just a candy bar with a 1/3 scoop of protein powder.

They are very tasty, but that's a ton of saturated fat per bar unfortunately.

They do taste good, much closer to a candy bar than any other protein bar. You're also getting protein instead of sugar compared to a regular candy bar. Candy bar + protein shake would also be a decent amount more calories.

I looked this up on my Yuka app (love it) and it got a ZERO out of 100 because of its bad additives. Not sure I have ever seen a score that low. Pass.

Glancing at the Yuka website, this is the same app that says one brand of tortilla chips is bad while another brand of tortilla chips is excellent, suggesting that the latter brand is healthy. That's a little like saying that getting kicked in the nuts is bad while getting punched in the face is excellent.

I'd take anything coming out of that app with a grain of salt, and recognize that it is apparently only rating products on a very narrow scope of attributes. If you are relying on it to tell you what's healthy and what isn't, I suspect you're going to get some very misleading, if not outright bad, recommendations.

As for the product in question, it's not health food, but it's a lot better than much of the garbage that is marketed as health food, and it's significantly better than the junk food garbage that largely makes up the common, modern diet.
