Am I correct in thinking that "Fine Silver" is the same as .999? As opposed to "coin silver" which is less.

These are 999 fine silver, never heard of coin silver before.

American Eagles are the highest quality and most valued silver coins generally speaking. Anyone who thinks this is not a great deal is completely ignorant to this market particularly given 2% Costco credit card CB. This deal can not beat at any bullion dealer in the US.

Noob question, whats with the hype/surge of these metals at costco? Is it an inflation thing? Do you just keep it at home like an emergency fund/stock?

once bought, the coins are meant for u to store and pass on to ur great great great grand kids to cash out.

I agree and would also add that these coins are legal tender from the U.S. mint. Beware of and don't buy non-legal tender coins not minted by the U.S. mint.

Personally I prefer to get silver and gold coins instead of bullion because coins generally go up in value regardless whether the price of silver or gold goes up especially if the coin is minted in low numbers or has a minting error.
