You realize this has two items yes? Kitchen Aid quality is often slightly better than generic no names and a decent colander by itself is $15-$17 alone. So, at worst you're saving $4 on a quality grater using your $10 example.

Speculation. I asked why it's worth more than ones at $10. A useful reply would be thicker gauge metal, more nickel in the steel... any metric that conveys value.

Actually, you didn't. You asked how it was better. Specifically, "How is this better than similar looking ones for $10?"

Secondly, it's hardly speculation - having 2 quality items with a combined actualy value greater than the "$10" items certainly increases the value.
