I mean it's legitimately a good deal. I don't think they've gone this low before. But it's also a high end $800 pair of smart speakers, not a $15 battery bank so I wouldn't expect a ton of engagement. Pretty niche/expensive product in the world of slickdeals

No comments, a handful of votes, and it makes Frontpage. How does that work?

The Kef q350's are on sale for $500. They're regularly $800. They're definitely worth $500. The q350's are passive so you'll need an amplifier or receiver.

are these mainly a Sonos competitor? I'm tempted to get as desktop speakers but probably bit overkill for that

A bit overkill unless you're a music producer or sound composer.

LSX II if you need a smaller speaker due to size and bass management for smaller space or placing them near a wall.

LS50 Wireless ii is more money no objective type. LSX ii is already 85-90% there but it's there if you absolutely need the cleaner response and the better bass extension. Not worth the money for me.

These are mainly for desktop or small room (apartment) home theater. Ls50s are for much larger room and would be overkill for desktop.

These are much (much) better than anything sonos makes and I own sonos speakers for my garage and had an arc but they don't compare

I have read that these, as compared to the bigger version, have had issues with premature amp failures. Maybe fixed now?

All kef active speakers have issues with electronic reliability. Some say it's exaggerated, but the proof that it's a reoccuring topic is concerning enough for me to never commit tbh

Nice that someone posted this. Amazing deal. I picked up the LSX II's back during the Jan sale love them.

The LT's have same sound and sports a few extra conveniences for me - left speaker is powered by right. Versus the LSX II's where each speaker needed to have its own power source.

BestBuy has the LT in Sage Green Open Box Excellent for $738, full warranty
https://www.bestbuy.com/product/k...=excellent

The LSX II's (NOT LT, light version) are $839 legitimate KEF refurb

For those looking now.

If you can wait
I have seen them(LSX II's) as low as $699 refurb at the above store. Wait for sales then the refurb prices drop way down.

The KEF refurb LS50 II's are at $1599 for now buyers and I have seen them even lower for waiters.

The differences between the LT and the regular LSX II's leave some advantages in hand for each pair but generally for some buyers the LSX II's are worth the $40 extra vs these LT's for the wireless link and AUX input. For others not worth it at all, definitely not worth the retail price increase. Not sure if the LT is Roon ready.

These are small speakers for small spaces or close-in listening distances. Will not present a rock concert at 12 feet away nor have much if any bass in larger spaces but will likely surprise most people with reasonable expectations.
