Price is good but I don't like the product. Battery never lasts a full brisket cook for me, and they've already had to replace 3 probes. I've been careful with the cords and careful cleaning them, so should be no reason for them to die.

Still a bit expensive for what you get. It's the top thermometer brand, and we use their insta read folding thermometer.

I found govee's WiFi thermometer (50$ with coupon on amz ) to be a good enough alternative, and the battery easily lasts over thirty hours real world time.

Agree on that. I went with the Smoke X4 a while ago for a similar 149 price (approximately). Much better battery life.

But if someone uses the bellows fan conjunction with the signals, It has to be plugged in so that negates the battery issue.

This is 100% worth it and a very slickdeal. i have been using this for a few years and it's an excellent remote probe therm, and paired with the Billows, it'll make your smoker as set it and forget it as those EZ bake ovens (pellet smokers).

Very good deal, I jumped on it months ago when it came with a free Bellows unit. I use it with a Big Green Egg and right away let me warn you that if you don't have a deflector or lay a pan of water down on the side, the fire can burn probe wires. I already scorched one and had to get another.

Other than that I've had a great experience so far, I had been using a cheapie wireless probe from Amazon for a few years which was working really, really well for me. Having a Bellows with this unit is going incredibly well, like when I cook ribs and keep the fire low enough to cook at around 250 degrees the oxygen is choked so low that I was getting annoying flameouts. The bellows actively pumps air in so you're not depending on any stack effect.

Graphing the temps on the iPhone app is very helpful and overall I like this unit a lot. Regular price is absolutely ludicrous, so definitely wait for a deal like this if you're gonna jump on it. Another helpful hint, look at their line of temp probes. The unit comes with 1 ambient probe to clip to the grate and 3 of the really long probes. They have smaller ones, like 2" that I got (after I burnt that one probe) that is working a lot better for thinner/smaller cuts like ribs and tri tips. Those probes go on sale sometimes, too. I got lucky, there happened to be a 50% off sale the week I ruined one.

Also, here is the one I was using that was working really well for me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014DAVHSQ/

Grabbed this and a discounted billows (after adding the signals to my cart). I'm seriously questioning this cost at $225 vs a smokefire @ $250 more but I'm excited about not having to deal with the wind anymore on the long cooks.
