I replaced my XM4 (which I lost) with the Momentum 4 instead of upgrading to XM5. The Momentum 4 has superior sound quality and amazing battery life. The XM4 had better noise cancelling. In terms of comfort, I would give the slight edge to the XM4. But comfort can vary a lot from person to person, so try both in a store if you have the opportunity.

Overall, I'm glad I got the Momentum 4. I prefer ambient mode over noise cancelling, so the Momentum 4 offers more for my use cases.

Anyone have an opinion on these? My XM4's seem to be going bad and I've been looking for a replacement.

I was chosing between the XM4 and Momentum 4 and ended up with M4. They're fantastic. Consensus was Momentum 4 has better sound quality but ANC was slightly better on the XM4. I can't speak to the XM4, but these are great at ANC. The battery life on these is amazing - get close to the advertised 60 hours.

I tried these headphones for a couple of weeks. The clamp force was just too much compared the Bose QC35 ii, so it might hurt if you have a big head. Sound quality and battery life was very impressive though

Great headphones, great sound, great battery life! Disappointing aesthetic though imho. Cheap and fingerprint prone plastic look, feels better in person than it looks though.

Like these better than the competition. Keep in mind that Sony has the best Noise cancellation if that's the most important thing.

I use these for the APTx adaptive support which is great for low latency and sound quality. Make sure your device supports it if you're buying. Comfort is better than the Sonys as well with slightly deeper ear cups.

consensus from reviews (rtings, and many YouTube videos) was the XM4 is better for ANC. Momentum 4 have great ANC. If you can try both in a store (Best Buy), then do that and decide for yourself.

Have this. Best sound quality VS all others(xm5, airpods max, b&w etc.). Don't use ANC much, seems not as good as xm5.
