For anyone that may be interested, be aware that these will, or likely will, come with the older Laser Slim Fluffy head. The woot! listing is a little ambiguous at best and misleading at worst. You can check out comments from the last sale.

Aside from that, and the fact my fluffy head broke after three uses, everything looked new and this seems like a good deal.

Received one that wouldn't charge or even turn on. Spent a few hours trying to troubleshoot. Took about 3 weeks to get refund.

similar experience! mine after first use said clean filter, even after cleaning kept getting same error. back to woot it went! two weeks and no refund yet!

I purchased last time. I complained about incorrect description of the laser head and they offered me $50 partial refund. Vacuumworked and looked like now.

I will never buy another refurbished unit from dyson. 6 month warrant. Smh. Our v11 went out on month 9 and after numerous calls and numerous hours attempting to have then warranty it, I gave up.

The only difference I'm aware of between new vs old is the newer Fluffy Optic heads, or whatever they're calling them, has a much brighter laser or led, supposedly twice as bright as the original. The older head also has an on/off switch for the laser. Otherwise, I'm not sure there are any significant material differences. I think I may have posted something in the last woot! deal thread from Reddit.

I agree. Even though my fluffy head broke after three uses, and Dyson currently has no heads available for warranty replacement, the vacuum itself appeared brand new.

I want a V15 so bad but just can do refurb or used. Especially with something like a vacuum. Like...what if someone vacuumed up a bunch of fleas or someone used it to clean a house someone died in?

Sorry for the morbid thoughts, but ew.

I'd imagine that they remove the dead bodies from the vacuum before reselling it.

I'm not sure, really. I guess it's one more thing that could break but turning the laser off when it's not doing any good, which is likely most of the time unless you're vacuuming in the dark or near dark, might conserve some battery.

FYI: I bought a refurbished V11 outsize from Dyson through Walmart marketplace a few weeks ago and it came out the box malfunctioning. The brush head would not spin. Tried to go through Dyson support who told me my serial number did not match the machine I ordered and that it was registered as a new machine belonging to someone else. Ultimately I returned to local Walmart and it took over 2 weeks for tracking to work. Dyson received the item back and issued a refund within one day. After that experience I am hesitant to buy refurbished again.
