LG is the worst TV I have owned and the only one where they had to replace the panel. Was it easy to work with LG warranty support? No. (C1OLED)

They asked me to put a lighter on my screen to get rid of a dead pixel cluster. They were the worst company I've ever dealt with as far as support. This was not my first time either.

I took delivery of this Yesterday and it's above the U8N dramatically with motion and 24p judder. I returned my U8N and this was a great alternative choice. No regrets.

Ugh wish they showed how many nits and dimming zones for each size
For the 55" model, using basic YouTube HDR zone test, I count 36 zones across/horizontal and believe it was 20 down, or estimated 720 zones (sorry it was a quick count with kids running around). I haven't had a chance to break out my equipment to measure nits yet, but subjectively brightness is not something this TV is lacking.

Hopefully between this 55" estimated 720 zones and the 1500+ for the 98", it gives you some better context.

Cheers.

Saw one of these on display today.

Had I not rented a truck to pickup two sets from sams club a few weeks ago, I'd have purchased two of these to be delivered instead.

I got the 55 inch version for $499. Love it so far for my bedroom. I like the narrow stand so it fits on my cabinet. Audio sounds decent too.

I got the Samsung qe1d deal a few days ago. In the end it ended up as $380 plus $40 cash back. Is this TV worth it over that one to pay $300 more? I'm looking at 65".

TCL no longer uses Roku OS on their televisions. They switched to Google OS.

I will never, ever buy another LG product for as long as I live. Worst consumer electronics company I've had the displeasure of dealing with. They shouldn't be allowed to sell products in the United States. Every single LG item I've owned has failed prematurely. Fridges, microwaves, TV's, cell phones. And now they are entering the air conditioning market with their faulty compressors.

If you care about OTA broadcasts, this doesn't have an ATSC 3.0 tuner (have to go up to the QM8 for that).

I own two LG OLEDs. 65B7 from 2017 and 55C8 from 2018. Both still going strong with no issues, burn in or anything.

Just bought LG 48B4 for another bedroom. My experience with LG OLEDs has been great.

I did have a 6 series TCL from 2017 that I bought a month before the B7 OLED. Ending up giving that to my father and then to my brother a couple years ago. It finally died last month. Wouldn't turn on anymore. So almost 7 years of use. Not bad for an inexpensive TV.

So YMMV with TCL and LG but my experiences have been fine with both.

all things being equal I'd go with the Roku OS if possible. The TCLtv+ is a new streaming platform, just like SamgungTV+, both good.. I was a bit out of line, I didn't know TCL stopped using Roku OS so this new ROKU app wouldn't work.

That is news to me but I've been out of the TV scene for awhile. I'm still rocking the 4yo TCL 6 series and then scored a half price Sony Bravia OLED a year ago.

This or the 48 lg b4? This is bigger than I'd like but focused solely on needing 120 fps, low input lag, and great picture.
The B4 is going to have much better overall picture, since it's OLED.
