M2 model is $100 less. [amazon.com] Not much performance difference between M2 and M3. Real performance increase will be with M4 but that probably won't be out until next spring.

I bought the M2 for $799 with M1 MBA trade in for $450 at BB. The M2 is more than enough for me and it was a no brainer for me with the trade-in.

This, go M2. And its actually a lot more than $100 less for the M2 air if you use PayPal rewards + instacart/costco.

I have $179 in rewards pending and just outlined the process here.

a slick deals mod deleted it for referencing other rewards. but check your PayPal app for instacart 20% back and then order the laptop thru Costco.

Their official policy is no price match, but in all the years I've been buying every time I contact them they offer something, either money back or a credit coupon.
