Small but 3 cups raw rice gives you 6 cups of cooked rice, which is quite a bit. Good brand name. Nice small footprint. Fuzzy logic like my Zojirushi. Not sure if made in China matters. My 20 yr old Zojirushi is Japanese and still going strong but at 10 cup raw capacity is too big to leave out on the counter. I'll bite on the smaller Toshiba and give it a try. Thanks op

I got this recently in gray/black and it works great for rice, has functionality for a few other things but i have not tested them yet. There are lots of reviews and posts for this rice cooker on slick deals. Price is nice as well few dollars less then previous deals.

I love the good-quality small rice cookers, since it's usually just for me or maybe 2 people. Also I like to have one in an RV where space is very limited.

I have a larger (medium size) Zojirushi which I love because it has both Induction and Pressure. The Pressure is amazing for brown rice and especially hard grains like Kamut which my brother-in-law introduced me to. But I wanted a smaller one.

Got the hard to find smaller Zojirushi made in Japan model, but yeah about $200. It's nice; still quite bulky. It has induction but not pressure cooking.

The amazon warehouse units qualify for the 20% off promotion. I bought a "like new" unit for $59.84 - 20% off.

I really wish this had a stainless steel inner bowl. I don't trust any of the 'safe' non-stick liners. From the Amazon page: Hi, Amazon Customer. Thank you for your inquiry on the Toshiba Digital Programmable Rice Cooker. Unfortunately, there is no stainless steel inner pot available. Have a good day.

Its always a guessing game when you see the thumbnails (without reading the title); is it an airfryer, rice cooker, or ultrasonic cleaner Wink

I got the Cuckoo 6 cups for $72 and it's more reputable brand than toshiba. This probably not a good deal.

Does it spew hot water over the top, making a mess on the counter?

Cuckoo is more reputable than Toshiba? Are we talking about the same Toshiba [wikipedia.org]? The 160 billion dollar, 150 year old company, with 100,000+ employees?

Note, not slamming Cuckoo but I don't think Toshiba lacks street cred either.
