wish they make a straw cap for this, it's difficult to chug with a half gallon rambler.

Charcoal and Lilac are $70 also.

Why would you get this over the 64oz rambler bottle that looks to have many more lid options (like a straw) and has many color options at $45-65 now: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C8WCPM5C/

Couldn't figure that out years ago either when I bought the 64oz Rambler!

There is a nice little handle to help you carry 4 lbs worth of water with less hand injuries.

I like the communal aspect of this over the 64oz rambler. Having a hard time pulling the trigger though. Main use case I see myself using this for is for weekend family day trips. Where I don't have to refill me and the kids bottles multiple times.

Anyone with kids have this and find themselves getting good use out of this?

Depends on your use, but I don't think 64oz is big enough. Keep in mind 32oz is a medium drink at a lot of fast food places. I have two of the one gallon jugs. I use them when we go mountain biking in summer. 100+ degrees out and we go through a lot of water. They keep ice water cold all day, even in the hot car. I don't drink straight from the jug, rather use it to refill camelbaks and water bottles.

I recently got a different brand from Costco. It is a great option if you're looking to spend about $20 instead. It has the spout and straw option in 1. Brand Manna.

I use mine just for myself, and refill it twice a day.
