Thats a better deal I believe because the OLED and the extra ram are worth the very slight increase in price, think processor is different though, think its gen older
the 8840 CPUs are basically a carryover from the 7840. No real performance difference.

AMD right now. Intel's Lunar Lake coming out later this year looks interesting though.

My cost ended up being $933 less $93 CB less $60 concession for arriving a week late. The concession should lower the CB $6 , hope it does not wreck it. Only thing I missed was the $75 offer from Amex but then I would not have gotten credit card extended warranty b/c my AMEX is no AF and doesnt have it
So $780 plus tax

Why such a massive price drop? My instinct when I see products drop so much suddenly that there is a problem. I realize price reductions happen with electronics but less than half?
The prices are nonsense. I just bought a lenovo 16" laptop w/ 64gb ram, oled display, etc. It had a list price on their website for $3000. It regularly sells for $1500 on amazon. I got it for $1200 with all the coupons and edu discount.

Can anyone who has bought this laptop speak about the fan noise?
The TDP according to AMD's website is 28W, so I would expect fan noise even when running Wordpad.
But I'm curious about it because this is a phenomenal deal if the fan noise can be minimized.
The cTDP range goes down to 20W.

Haven't used it enough sorry.

Trying to set it up like my old pc, Recently I did a dirty swap of my existing systenw10 drive which worked fine except for apps in windowsapps folder and possibly some other things..... This time I decided to go with the Windows 11 install and migrate over but what a pain in the butt

What I saw with the previous generation P14s was that the fan noise began quite a lot when all I did was start browsing the web using Edge.

How easy are returns with Lenovo? I got this PC for college bound kid but hes' having second thoughts and wants something with a better screen and dedicated video card. Can I return this laptop if it the packaging has been opened without being charged restocking fee? I know the return window is 30 days.

I haven't seen this many great laptop deals during the back-to-school event in the past decade. Could it be due to the Snapdragon X?
