Integrated LED should be illegal. What a scam and waste of money/resources.

When the LED element goes, it can not be replaced. You have a fan without a light. I think all the fans except the old school looking ones are now without a replaceable LED bulb. So I havent upgraded any of ours for this reason.

If built-in light goes out, entire fan needs replaced vs just bulbs .

Guys any concern with this product? Seems like it has a lot of features. The LED is what worries me.

Could you please elaborate why you concerned about LED? Color, brightness, fire hazard, etc

You have a valid concern, would have been better if they came with a regular socket where you can put smart light bulb. 3-Year warranty on the led light and lifetime warranty on the motor. The LED itself will last at least 20 years but everything that controls it definitely can fail.

And down the rabbit hole we go ...

did some research and it turns out there are replaceable light kits online, like the one below which might or might not fit this ceiling fan, I'm pretty sure they're better choices with better reviews than this one but at least it seems they're replaceable If you're willing to spend the time looking for the right brightness with good reviews:

There are plenty of replacement LED light kits for these fans. EzPz

This is my biggest concern. I love the features. It feels like you get all the features you needed. Then boom the LED! 🤯 I don't get why not just make a regular bulb.

In the Q&A:
"The light can be easily replaced by unscrewing the glass shade, then using a screw driver to remove the three screws for the plastic cover and then using a screw driver to remove the three screws underneath. Simply follow the instructions for installing the light kit in reverse from pages 13 and 14 in the owner's manual. Please note that the integrated LED light kit is covered by the manufacturer warranty for a limited time after purchase and a replacement will be sent to you at no cost if it ever stops working. Please contact customer service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON to troubleshoot any light issues and for warranty support. Video instructions for installing all parts of the fan, including the LED light kit, can also be found here: https://youtu.be/b7x6I7TIW6o?si=pjFjpg5RTr62SLcX

I, personally, have NEVER seen any LED panels in ceiling fans fail. I've installed at least 15 fans with LED lighting with no problems of any kind.

I have 5 DC motor remote fans from Home Depot - Home Decorator Collection, They are all awesome in terms of airflow and lighting, Some going on over 6 years with no LED issues.

The issue is that they are often controlled by neighbors since there are limited frequencies for the remotes and they are so good at going through walls. (I suppose, unless they are possessed). So I can turn one down and five minutes its blowing full blast. Or turned off. Then after 10 30, it works fine...when whatever neighbor either gives up or goes to sleep.

Interesting, didn't know there were replacement kits. That said, still cheaper and easier to replace bulbs than these

I almost bought but two things

Built in led, sounds like options above might make it non issue

Black blades only, wish on other side had a brownish/walnut/cherry color like the typical fan blades

It's a concern of mine as well, but Hampton Bay is Home Depot's store brand and they have historically been good about supporting their products, even outside of warranty. I wouldn't recommend HB plumbing fixtures but lighting fixtures have been great in my experience. This is the reason I chose it over the hundreds of cheap noname fans they sell.
