Complete garbage of a video door lock. You will get 0 notifications even with a perfectly clear view.

If you do decide to try, give it a test and make sure to return within return policy. Highly not a recommended product.

I have owned this Lock and it has been pretty convenient setting up fingerprints for me and my wife and Codes for different family members, I get different notifications for each finger print and code that was used to open and lock the door and the ringing function and camera and pretty useful, i bought the S380 homebase since my wifi is very far away from the unit but haven't set it up. So far i've been loving and bout to buy a second one for my rental unit.

I purchased the one without Chime. I already have a Eufy security system with a homemade, so Chime doesn't seem to be necessary for me.

I'm in the process of switching FROM Eufy doorbell. Horrible connection, constantly failed to load videos, and that's from two different units that went just over one year warranty. If you read up on their security mishaps and the lying about it, it's another failure.
Initially, I really wanted to like the product, especially the fact that no cloud services are needed. That's why I purchased a second unit, thinking it was a "bad apple". Unfortunately, it's the company that is a bad apple. Majority of things breaks or becomes non-functional. Read the reviews from long time owners, guys.

Isn't this the same company that was caught uploading pictures of their customers to the cloud even on products that were clearly marketed as being non-cloud?

I have this and I like it.

With 5 family members it's really, really convenient to use the finger prints. Battery lasts very long, 2+ months.

The only complaint I have is that video loads slow on the app, idk if it's app issue or maybe because I don't have the home base but I have to back out of the video then back in to load the video clips.

If this had the downward-facing camera, I'd be all over it.

This is a doorbell on a lock. Why would you need a downward facing camera. The door lock is usually already at waist height

I can't comment on this product specifically but I have a Eufy setup and I'm happy with it. I like the lack of cloud requirements and the system works serviceable. It's not the beat but for what I paid the convenience and functionality is outstanding.

I did a lot of research into the security concerns with Eufy and while I don't think Eufy was completely transparent the issues were more technical than practical.

Every Eufy product I've purchased died about one year after ownership, just after the warranty expired. Never again. Eufy is trash.

No issues in the last 2 years of ownership (Although my router is close to the homebase). The battery lasts 10-11 months. I got it for $275.

Eufy offers a dual camera doorbell as well. One camera faces forward like normal while one faces down to keep track of packages on the ground (with package detection software)
