Not "useless" per se but like cell phones, they become outdated due to hardware and software limitations as time progresses. Might be worth waiting for the Ultra 3 that's coming out in two months instead.

You can also have somebody report a device lost/stolen and have a $350 paperweight. And Facebook isn't going to do anything if it was a cash deal. For anything that can be nuked remotely (i.e. can be blacklisted or iCloud locked) I don't even bother with FB.

Always ask sellers to send you the serial number so you can look it up on apples website. Also you should ALWAYS activate the phone/watch on your apple account before handing over any cash. It's so easy to avoid buying a fake Apple product that I have no idea why someone would pull that scam
