I got these from Best Buy and I was able to price match because Walmart had it for the same price. I tried to price match with the Amazon deal but I was told since it was a limited time deal, they weren't going to honor the price match.

No, they don't. I had a generation two and it did not have wireless charging case.

I'm actually in the process of returning these.

I want the MagSafe case, which is only 10$ more if you buy it with the headphones (180 instead of 170).

But if you want to buy the magsafe case alone, that's 80$.

So the price delta here for buying the magsafe case means you're spending more than 200 as opposed to just buying the set initially for 180.

If I didn't already own so many magsafe chargers, I'd feel different, but I wanna use the things.

I'd agree that non-staff deserve priority, but I don't think letting anyone steal staff posts would be an improvement.
