There are pros and cons. The rigid one is very sturdy and probably long lasting. However, it's a lot heavier than the DeWalt one. With that being said, the DeWalt one does have cheaper quality parts like the wheels and the handle and they tend to break more often. There was a lot of backlash towards DeWalt about the Tstak which is why they replaced it with the tough system. 2.0. personally, I like the Tstak for it's lightweight as well as the single handle. However, if the rigid one was cheaper, I might go with the Ridgid because of the longevity of the rigid. Not sure if my personal opinion will help you but hopefully it does.

Dewalt Toughsystem 2.0 is good, and I like the Ridgid Pro Gear 2.0 where they done away with the wheel well. I ordered the Dewalt Tstak specifically to what you said about the lighter weight.

The Tstak weight is 4.88lb and the Toughsystem is 23.54lb.

This is a great price for the cart and the deep toolbox. However, if you plan to expand your storage system, I would wait for the Milwaukee packout deal. It's more expensive, however, it's so much easier to take out and put back the toolboxes than the latches used on Tstak system.

I have this set, almost every piece in it. I like the idea of this unit, have thought many times about buying it, but I think it's fundamental flaw is it's lack of modular design. All the toolboxes can connect and latch to each other. IMO, they should have just made the handle and wheels portion as a separate piece, such that it could attach to any of the units, in any stacking order. Instead, they married a large toolbox to it at the bottom.

Finally great to see a deal on wheels to make my TSTAK units mobile. I also own the Ridgid system, but don't need the added weight or contractor-level mobility. It is mainly to store my tools in the garage and occasionally move them.

I'm needing a cart to haul my grilling supplies in. It's not going to be toting anything heavier than a Lodge griddle plate and some utensils. Is the quality good enough for that purpose? I hate wasting money.

I used to own the T-Stak and yes it's not as heavy or beefy as the Ridgid which I replaced it with. But I'm pretty sure that's a typo on the 4.88 lb Weight that originated from DeWalt.

I do still have one of the small flat top boxes that's about 1/5 of the size of this Deep box with wheels and a handle and that weighs 5 pounds on my scale.

If you want to check it out in person and you have Lowes nearby, this is the same box, but in Red. https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMA...1000578397

Thank you for the info. I was expecting maybe 1/3 lighter so I was surprised to see the listing of 4.88lb.

Update: I found the weight on Acme Tools. I believe the package weight include the cardboard packaging.
Assembled Weight 11 lb
Package Weight 11.97 lb

This typically runs around $75 and the historical low before this according to CCC is $55.79 back in 2020. Very good deal.
