I have some real bad Farberware steak knives that badly need an upgrade, but the Amazon reviews are making me hesitate. Anyone have any experience with these knives that can give an opinion on whether they're worth $50?

I bought this set direct from zwilling for $80. I don't know if Amazon has counterfeits (is there even a market for such a thing?) or zwilling made a change at some point cause these are sharp and haven't rusted in the 6 months I've had them. I saw the review video of the lady running one along her hand and I would absolutely NOT do that with the ones I have . They plenty sharp enough for steaks and are fairly heavy for how small they look as well. I would never pay that MSRP price, but at $50 I'd buy it again if I was looking to gift a set or needed more.

It's Amazon so if you do get a set that's dull it should be easy enough to return.

Do you handwash or put in dishwasher? Reviews mention rust after several times in the dishwasher.

If you're worried about them rusting - that is 1000% caused by those people running them through the dish washer. Just hand wash and they will never rust. Good price for 8 I ordered a set.
