Great price. I paid $408 for an Adorama open box about 30 days ago. Bought this one and started return process for the other to save $100.

How does this 2.5-way compare to a 3-way center channel speaker?

I'm planning to rebuild my Home Theater: already got a Yamaha receiver that was a Frontpage some days ago. If I buy this Center Channel it will overpower (temporarily, until I change them) the front speakers (by a lot).
So I need you to tell me not to buy this Smilie
Or should I?

Fantastic Center, easily the best one you can find anywhere close to this price. you would need to go $1,000 or higher to find better AQ.... Running two of these now in 2 setups and they are exceptional, incredible clarity and unlike other centers they can go low and reproduce mens voices accurately!

They are 90% the same, the 450C is a fantastic center, you would not notice the difference between the two of them.

No, it will not over power anything, you will balance it out with your room EQ and run it how you want afterwards... So no such thing as over powering but yes you should get new mains. Keep in mind your center is the most important speaker in your HT set up!
