Amazon has the Philips Hue Smart LED lightstrip kit for $65--the lowest price in a long time according to 3C. People who buy these over Govee and other tier 2 brands typically do so for reliability, color accuracy, and to organize their devices off of their WiFi network (vs. crowding their network and routinely "calling home"). These can be controlled via your phone's Bluetooth or with a Philips Hue bridge (sold separately) or with a Lutron bridge. Full disclosure: I have installed both Philips and Govee dependent on client requirements and everyone seems to be happy with their choices so far.

From Philips:
  • Colorful smart lighting
    • Instantly set the mood for any occasion with 16 million colors. Transform the room for an immersive entertainment experience, create the perfect atmosphere for a get-together with friends, or complement your home decor.
  • Bluetooth compatible
    • Control up to 10 lights instantly in a single room with Bluetooth and start using your Hue lights right out of the box.
  • Ultimate flexibility
    • Customize your Hue Bluetooth-enabled lightstrip by trimming it to size or connecting up to eight Hue Bluetooth-enabled lightstrip extensions (sold separately), and then place it anywhere inside your home.
  • Expanded entertainment viewing
    • Bring your movies, gaming, and music to life with surround lighting effects. With color-capable Philips Hue lights and accessories (sold separately), you can watch your lights dance, flash, dim, brighten, and change color in sync with your media.
  • Unleash music with light
    • Philips Hue and Spotify have teamed up with the first ever deep lighting and music integration that intertwines sight and sound. Now, you don't just listen to music-you see it.
  • Support daily activities
    • Philips Hue preset light scenes match your mood and daily routines, helping you get the perfect light for each of your daily tasks. Amp up the energy in the morning with the cool white light of Energize, unwind after a long day with the soft light of Relax, and more.
  • Get started with Hue
    • To experience Philips Hue in your home with the Hue White and color ambiance Bluetooth-enabled lightstrip, simply power your light and download the Philips Hue app to enjoy!
  • Build a brighter home
    • Continue to light your home smarter and easily expand your Hue system with your choice of indoor or outdoor bulbs, lightstrips, fixtures and accessories.
  • Do more with a Hue Bridge
    • Connect to a Hue Bridge to unlock the full power of Hue, including automations and out-of-home control, sold separately.
What's Included:
  • White and Color Ambiance Lightstrip Plus 80-inch Base Kit
  • Power adapter

Man, I love hue. I have about 20 lights in my house that are all hue but a 6 foot light strip for $60 is such a rip off. You can buy this ws2812 light strip for three dollars on AliExpress and then get an ESP 32 microcontroller for $5 and flash WLED onto it. This is really like $10 in parts.

The colour reproduction likely wont come anything close to this thing though.

This is what I use for under my kitchen cabinets. Grab one and an extension depending on how long you need it to be.

How did you do it for multiple sets of cabinets? We have two sections separated by a microwave and one section across the sink , so I'd need three runs of like 4' each ish. Just one base two extensions?

You can buy connectors in various lengths. I forget the brand, but just search hue extension cable

@a_land I use Philips Hue extensions (linked) when I need to extend a Philips install. I use Monoprice white-jacketed #18 CL2 (low voltage/ speaker) cable or white CL-2 Cat-6 solid Ethernet cable and cut-in connectors when I need to "skip" areas. Note that Cat-6 is #23 and severely limits how long your skips can be and how many sections you can add on.

If you don't want to run speaker wire/ Ethernet up and over, the alternative is to use three base kits. The disadvantage is ($$$). The advantage would be ease of installation and able to run a different color per set as part of a pre-programmed routine (e.g. sunset).

I hope this helps.

I had two of the gradient strips in my cart for my office, but had to go to best buy today and figured I'd price match and just get them while I was there... That was a mistake as they sold out right before I got there. Oh well, next time...

Why not get the 10 ft one for 63 dollars? Or is it a different light?
