The ultimate 2c doesn't seem to support button remapping. (Or if it does, it's not available yet?)

Does anyone know if the ultimate c does?

My opinion is that it is. The Ultimate controllers use "Ultimate" software to customize button mapping, trigger sensitivity, dead zones, etc. If I'm thinking of the right controller it also has paddles.

I pre-ordered both the wired and wireless Ultimate 2C controllers and received them yesterday. Both have mappable L4/R4 buttons.

I can confirm the Ultimate 2C does not have paddles.

According to the tech specs, it supports xinput. https://www.8bitdo.com/ultimate-w...ontroller/

It depends.
Xbox controller uses clicky dpad and bumpers, while 8bitdo uses rubber buttons.
Ultimate 2C has hall effect stick, so in theory it should last longer, and it has 2 extra shoulder buttons (so 4 bumpers instead of 2).
Additionally, though they all use XInput, their compatibilities vary. Xbox controller has undisputable compatibility with all games, while 3rd party controllers may have random bugs in some niche games (only 1 game happened to me which is Tales of Arise from game pass, so not a big inconvenience).

I don't want mappable L4/R4... The more premium ultimate controllers let your remap -every- button.

annoyingly I pre-ordered the 2c at the beginning of July and the ship /release date was July 15. After July 15 the ship date appeared and is some time in mid August. Great product release planning guys LOL.

It was never in stock, even on release day!
