I've seen some people with complaints about this tablet in this thread, but it's certainly been lag-free and buttery smooth for me for the several hours I've had it.
The tablet is probably using some kind of software to trick android OS to see SD card as RAM or maybe worse, allocating it for RAM purposes.
SD speed is a physical limitation that can't be overcome just because you renamed it. It's like putting a spare tire on a F1 and expecting it to go 200 mph. No, now slow your car down to 50mph max
