The 1040 is the better deal IMHO

I'd wait for the 1040, 1030 still has mini or micro usb and 1040 went to usb c

I have the 1030 plus and it has been solid. The sensors by themselves are worth around $100 if you bought them separately, so the bike computer is only around $290 with this deal v/s the $450 for the 1040. This is more bike computer than what most people would ever need - I've not found the software buggy, the gps works fast enough and the battery lasts forever, so no future software updates is not much of a deal breaker given the price IMO

Thanks for this. That's exactly what I'm hoping for. It's more than I need on the computer side and I wanted the sensors.
