For productivity / general office / text and web heavy works, VA's contrast ratio advantage really shines.
This thing is easily 3000:1 contrast ratio at $215; whereas IPS at that price point are all 1000:1. Even the high end ones with IPS Black can only do 2000:1 while all having >$500 price tag.
