Not a great band buyers remorse watch falls off quite frequently with this band as magnet is not as strong as it should be

Got the midnight band last time it was on sale with a couple months of light, occasional use. The leather started cracking. Apple gave me a $100 credit to replacement band on the store since these are discontinued picked up the ocean band and it is my new go to For daily wear not just occasionally use. In the end, it was a good deal, but only because I got the full price credit later on.

I did it via phone call. They used my iPhone to look at my screen while I showed them the order info from woot

I see this come up in deal threads about these and I don't understand it.

I picked up a S/M band for 42/44/45 in Ink earlier from one of these deals and I don't see any of this. I tend to switch between bands but I've done yard work and plenty of other active things with this band and it's never come close to coming loose. I have no concerns about it falling off or being loose when it shouldn't be.

There is definitely a correct way to close it. The longer side over the shorter side but it is quite secure when closed that way. If you close it backwards with the short side over the long side it is pretty weak but it's pretty easy to see the difference. I don't know what happens if you install it incorrectly but that might mean there is no "right" way to close it but for ink the inside band is brown not the ink color so that would be pretty obviously wrong.
