Cheaper than Eneloops. But definitely inferior to Eneloops as well. Having had both, for some reason, the Amazon ones are really big and struggled to fit in some of the devices I have. Never had an issue with the Eneloops. Also, I have had a few of the Amazon batteries fail to take a charge after a little while, while the Eneloops seem to hold up much better over time.

Seems like a good deal, but I don't think I even need 16 rechargeable batteries.

Thanks, I was wondering if these were still oversized. I have 4 of these and the charges don't last as long as eneloops and I have a few things they won't fit into.

I have a feeling that high capacity cells (2400+mAh for AA) have shorter longevity than regular cells (2000mAh). Panasonic's Eneloop Pro cells is rated for fewer recharge cycles and faster self discharge than regular Eneloop cells. Also, increasing the capacity above the norm probably involves reducing the thickness of the separator, using more reactive ingredients/process vs. more stabilizing which affects self-discharge rate and durability. This is especially true for no-name cells where the need for reliability and reputation is far less than Eneloop. Unless someone needs the most capacity (instead of carrying more cells) I'd recommend regular capacity cells. For many high discharge uses, Li-Ion are much better anyway.

The AA cells I received are Made in Malaysia, mfg date October 2023. Historically I've received China and Malaysia AAA cells. I don't use them heavy or long enough to tell a difference for now. Some AAA Malaysia cells I recently opened and discharged after around 1 year of purchase still show around 40% capacity so they are indeed LSD (unlike some EBL garbage cells I've seen).
