It actually $2705 with tax but minus $378 cash back and $50 AMX would come down to 2277. When RTX5090 come out the cost for the card alone probably same as the whole computer now
where do you get this 378 cash back?

The $250 in tax pushes this to $2800. With all the new stuff coming out, new Intels in Oct / Nov, 9xxx X3D AMD's ... RTX 5090, which is rumored to be less expensive this generation, this is a hard buy for me. I would rather sit on the $2800 and build all new stuff in the coming months. Also, the 14xxx series CPUs issues are real. I have random crashes and so does my friend and two of his friends. They are calling CPU degradation. This means the cpu is starting to fail. I had this issue with an Intel 2600 CPU back in 2011. It got worse and worse and worse, and yes, I ran it out of spec. It was an unlocked CPU and I over clocked it, with the additional voltage out to it.
A hard buy would mean you would buy this. But everything else you describe says you don't want to buy this... what?

If you have any problem with this unit that needs a return you will pay shipping and it's expensive.

I'm ready to jump on one of these deals at the $2500 mark but only if I can switch it to an AMD processor. This wouldn't let me customize

It is not stable. Random crashes! But I managed to solve it by installing intel extreme tuning utility and reduce performance core ratio to 50x. A lot of effort and it will happen to everyone… I was shocked.

You can't do anything in the BIOS to change the ratio?

And not only that any CPU upgrade is going to be limited,
