GeForce Now ultimate tier high bitrate AV1 streaming quality at 4k 120fps makes everything else look like hot garbage. I now shake my head in disgust when I see even the smallest visual artifacts. It's ruined me forever.
Playing this on a handheld like ASUS ROG Ally which support 120Hz is like playing games on a Gameboy from 20 years in the future. Not just the visual quality, but the fact it also triples the battery life compared to running the game locally. Playing on a big TV is like a cinematic experience. Plus you don't have to deal with the fan noise or power bill of owning your own giant rig.
Nabbed the 6 month deal, just wish I could lock in the pricing for even longer. Previously my phone plan offered 6 months for free (no longer), so always be on the lookout for deals.
"I regret to inform you that there is no refund option available for GFN-related services, as detailed in our GFN Terms and Conditions, which can be found here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/membership-terms/ [nvidia.com] "
She then agreed to "...escalate this matter to the relevant team to explore potential solutions. While I cannot guarantee a refund at this time, our team will look for available options and keep you updated through email."
So while a partial refund is not completely off the table just yet, it's also not guaranteed and I may just have to suck it up and move on. This is just an FYI post for those that wanted to know.

I used to have stadia, and I often opted for games on console over stadia only because the audio was so much better on Xbox, even though the game play was the same. And Stadia's tech was perfect. but still, it didn't have the highs and lows for the audio that a console/gaming pc would have.
At least I'm saving electricity costs and heat generated at home running this for the first 6 hours of gaming instead or running the game locally on an undervolted 4090, right?
EDIT: Got this working at 3440x1440. Found the changes in GFN custom configuration screenshot for reference

I should just try it again but curious to hear from others.

The settings looked the same even though the settings in the GFN app says you need Ultimate to save your in-game settings between sessions.
I had to wait awhile and relaunch multiple times before I finally got another 3060 and the FPS were back in the 80s but now going up and down quite a bit (game FPS not stream FPS) which I don't remember it doing before...but I could be wrong.
I thought a 2080 was suppose to be better than a 3060 and even saw some people say it's preferred for the session. FPS charts show the 2080 being slightly better for the game I was playing.
So I dunno, a mixed bag so far for Priority membership. Image quality looked great @ 35 Mbps max bitrate...couldn't really even tell that I was streaming . Night and day difference between GFN and XCloud which uses 15Mbps bit rate and lesser hardware and makes it pretty obvious that you're streaming the game.
