If you use Tello dollars to renew the data plan, there are no taxes/fees. So I have been getting two months of the 1GB plan from each referral. This has worked great for my daughter who is living abroad. She has data available the moment she lands in the US, and can still get texts and calls while abroad.
No taxes/fees if you use Tello Dollars to renew plan (including plans w/ minutes) I believe.
