Good value for someone looking for an electric car with cheap financing. Let's keep the politics out of this and just discuss the deal.

If you can, I'd suggest just waiting for the Juniper revision.

I picked up a model Y performance today. Needed a car and couldn't wait a few more months to see if a better deal comes out. It's possible/likely that the $7500 tax credit will end with a new president though, especially since Musk has said he hopes that does happen. So maybe you get a better price on the outgoing model Y if you wait? Or the updated version also comes with a more expensive updated price and no rebate which could drive up demand for the current model? No one with a crystal ball, it's all speculation but I felt like the 1.99% made it a deal for me over a used MYP with a market rate APR.

I prefer model X instead. The model Y feels cheap compare to the model x. I think Tesla is clearing out inventory for the new model Y to debut. Regardless this is a solid deal if anyone is looking into an EV vehicle.

Test drove one and honestly felt like an incredibly cheap car. It is albeit one of the cheapest, if not cheapest, SUV style EVs out there right now so on par with price. Not looking to finance it so the financing rate doesn't mean anything to me.

These things are a not ready for prime time. I resent higher insurance rates and electrical rates. These things hurt the poorest the worst as it increases all insurance reguardless of weather you drive one. The grid will need upgrades that all electricity users will pay for again hurting the poor the worst.

We were sold the need of all this based on junk science. Cars count for a verry small amount of the worlds CO2 levels.

If you tell a lie long enough it becomes the truth. Time has long come to reevaluate the EPA as a whole. The super funds of the 70's never got spent on Love Canal, but of how the regulations have exponentaily grew.. This moved industry out of the USA, Again hurting the poor the worst. These regulations impeed the production of everything not just the EV in America. Strip mining has long left the USA only to be exported to the poorest countries, subjecting them to the polution we would never put up with.

These things are not a good deal at any price because you hurting people in an effort to simply controll them. Please GOVT, stop trying to help you are killing us!

Ahhh, the warmth of a Tesla deal discussion on SlickDeals. The absolute dregs of the internet, the worst our society has to offer.

I would love to ignore it, but there's no way to mute a thread from appearing on the SD Live feed. so your name-calling and negativity splash up onto those of us who'd rather give all of you the widest possible berth.

Be proud, internet basement dwellers.
well ts seems you are a bit too delicate to read them.

I live in an apartment (I doubt I will ever be able to afford a house now). There was a time I was seriously considering a Model 3/Y. And there was a period of maybe 1-2 years when the prices were down, resale values were high etc.

Now it makes no sense for people like me, electricity and supercharging costs have gone way up, so has insurance and maintenance.

Even if you remove Musk and all the politics the car still isn't a good deal for many people.
