Kyle from Out of Spec has negotiated a deal with Fort Collins Nissan.

Lease for 2 years, CO only as they have very good state EV incentives

$500 down and under $20/month, 10,000 miles a year.

Base model Leaf with 150 miles of rated range.

If I lived in CO, I'd get one for sure. Great around town car.

Chademo charge port, but you can buy a Chademo/CCS adapter.

Given that $500 down and $20/month for 2 years adds up to only about $1000, it's worth asking if there's other fees/costs that are not being mentioned? For example, Colorado has really expensive car registration for new cars, which is probably another $500 or so on this, right? And I've never done a lease, but on new car purchases there's all these random fees that are tacked on. What's the actual cost?

I plan to be in Colorado on vacation. But I live in NY. How much would it cost to transport to NY?

I believe this deal includes Colorado tax incentives which require you to be a Colorado resident.

Technically they aren't even offering any dealer discount on this vehicle, it is selling at MSRP, so dealer should be making decent profit on this.

All discounts coming from Nissan Motor Financial & The colorado incentives

isnt nissan known for some of the most predatory loan practices in the industry?

And yes, in CO you will pay about double for EV registration. my first year on my EV cost me $1200 vs $600 for a SUV. after 3 years its still double

Interesting, I was looking into getting a Tesla Model Y a few months ago in CA when the local inventory had the Model Y around 27k after 9.5k federal and state tax rebate. I then looked into the taxes and fees and according to most forums, they can add up to another 5-8k so out the door would be closer to 32k-35k. This isn't including the expensive registration nor the full coverage on a new Tesla which can be 2-3k per year. Guess I'll just keep driving my old Toyota Yaris for a bit longer, don't really need a new car right now.

Not even if they paid me. There is a reason this is being offered.
You are going to have to explain. Clearly you know something more than a very popular Youtuber that reviews EV's for a living.

You've got to wonder if reverse competitive bidding can smoke out a Nissan/Datsun dealer that will be even more aggressive than this dealer.

Junk/disposable cars! Do not buy them, but a lease sounds reasonable. I wonder if another dealer would offer more miles at a similar price point?
weird take. Yea they're not worth their retail value for purchasing, but nissan leafs run forever. But they're based on old tech with a crummy charge port, so its not great for everything.
