I have this keyboard on my work laptop and I hate the fn key is where the ctrl is supposed to be...

I'd guess it's because Trackpoint has a learning curve. Once you learn, it's fast for doing tasks that interleave typing and mouse actions.

On thinkpad notebooks, you can swap the fn/ctrl in BIOS.

Have they added the flexibility to remap the Fn and Ctrl keys?

These make great TV/entertainment center keyboards. Its typing feel is quite good and its trackpoint is dramatically better than the terrible bargain basement trackpads built into KB+trackpad combos. It sits on your lap much more nicely than wide, cumbersome combo keyboards too.

The dual mode RF+BT is a nice bonus that makes it easy to switch between two devices, for example a PC and a console.

the only weakness imo is it not having backlit keys. but then again battery life will suffer.

For this price, it should come with backlit keys.

Amazon has 1-2 month shipping time. Lenovo.com ships immediately.

Pass.

I won't deal with the CTRL FN key issue. Lenovo forums are full of customers begging for Lenovo to enable an option to do the swap, and the answer is no.

The wired version has a way to swap, and it's now $42.49 (not an all time low, but I don't see the wired version posted here as often as the wireless version)

I wonder why one version can swap but not the other...

I hate that too. My solution is putting some grip tape on the ctrl key so it's easier to find.

does this have press to select? Lenovo failed to support it in WIndows 10+ on my older thinkpads.

Using a "trackpoint" over even cheaper touchpads just seems ridiculous to me. For home/wifi I would use a Logitech k400 plus, for mobility/bluetooth I use the iClever folding keyboard/touchpad.
