We got 2 of these years back (one for our living room and one for our bedroom). It's not the same model/brand, but the same basic premise. They cost around $100 each. It cost more to have an electrician install and hide cords in the wall than it did for the heaters themselves. I want to say installation was like $250. And unless you absolutely know what you're doing, I would definitely suggest having an insured professional install. It will look cleaner and they have insurance in case faulty wiring burns your house down. Either that or hang it yourself and have the cord showing.

I've always been interested in doing one of these (but as in-wall unit). 15 amp circuits will get hot, so be aware. Probably best to up the circuit and that installation alone will be expensive. Other than that, great deal for the unit itself. Thanks OP

My order didn't get cancelled. And I ordered several hours ago.
I see some bashing this one and comparing it to ones that are more than twice as much. For the price, this is a good deal. Just keep in mind that the heat is released through the top so if you install it in the wall you are only buying it for looks and can't use the heater.

No it's not.
It's garbage and NOT a price mistake/error. $100+/- for 10 years now.
Been this price for YEARS, because it's real outdated and crappy technology.
Look at the link/posts above I have REAL WORLD experience.
It won't even look good in a single wide!

It's a 36 inch fake fireplace for $75. I don't know what you want or expect. I've ordered 3 other brands and they aren't like TVs with a big difference. I've put them in recess walls and made cabinets for them and even hanging cabinets. You're over thinking it. And I did look at your links and they are more than twice the cost. That's why I said what I said. You already said your opinion and I said mine. You can keep repeating your opinion but I'm not wasting my time arguing on the internet. You can feel free to continue if you want but I just wanted to help out someone considering a deal and not pick a fight on a deal blog. lol

Instead of calling people out, I'm going to say this... you people who take the retail price (IE: $499 for this unit) are why the industry does this crap. Seriously, wise up.

BTW Never buy from Wayfair or similar unless you do a reverse image search. Most of the time you will find a similar or same model being sold for cheaper elsewhere.
