Overkill is right. 3mg is overkill. Personally I think the kid's version of 1mg is even a bit much, it's been shown that the sweet spot for external sources of melatonin to be around 0.5mg. I keep a 1mg version around that has small doses of L-theanine and GABA added, and it has helped with insomnia and getting restful sleep. Just don't use it as a crutch

Agreed. Purchased this last time it was posted on sale and after taking one, found myself extremely groggy hours after waking up the next day. No such issues with 3mg.

Eh, personally I'd feel a lot better going with a brand of melatonin that is USP verified, even if it means paying more. Good price though, for a non-USP brand that still has some standards (US factories following current Good Manufacturing Practices standards).

Ive tried a handful of melatonins and best one that I've found is Natrol's 5mg fast dissolve one from Costco.
It's USP verified and 5mg seems to be a good dose but more importantly it just works for me.

3mg I've only tried, never made me feel drowsy or go to sleep faster but u seemed to have a deep sleep. I would think 10 mg would be too much. Maybe I could take half a pill?

I like the melatonin gunmies Amazon has for sale.

Amazon also has some branded sleeping pills that 1/2 will knock me out and make me feel groggy in the morning.

its either John wart or valerian root, but my god, its awful smelling. (im talking by themselves) it smelled like satan fingered his butthole and made pills with it. but I slept really well.

I take unisom, Costco Kirkland sleep aid, sleep like a baby + 5mg melotonin

Agreed, would constantly wake up groggy with this. Capsules take longer to be effective so the rapid release seems like a lie considering how long it takes for me to feel drowsy
