I had one of these shatter and drop a vehicle. I don't know if there was hidden damage during storage, or some outside factor. But "jack stands" that fail are on my short list of products to never, ever use again.

And before the inevitable flood - yes, they were genuine Rhino Ramps, with the same marketing bullet points.

These do fail, but from what I've seen posted on line, it usually seems to be due to user error. Like driving off the back side and cracking them, using them on rocks/gravel, or damaging them in storage and then driving a several ton truck on them.

When used appropriately, they should be just fine. Don't be this fool:

This is why I always have a minimum of 3 support points (2 jack stands + floor jack) when lifting one end of the vehicle and I add more supports if I'm taking wheel(s) off.

Got a pair of these from Walmart about 4 years ago or so, still going strong. Back then they were around $40, makes life much easier for doing an oil change.

Have to 🤣 at low clearance vehicles with that 17 degree ramp angle. Mine can't even load on a trailer at 10 degree angle without scraping.

Recommended solution for wide wheels? These might work for my front tires but aren't close on the 315s I have in back. Not that I think the angle would work anyways

I ordered these from Amazon 10 years ago and have used them a ton. Used them on a few different Camrys and a Sienna. Multiple times a year at least. I'd order 2 more if I had the space.

Used one recently to replace crankshaft position sensor on my G35. 5 years still going strong. Only use them in my driveway.

I'll be honest, I own these and use them, but they do sketch me the fark out. I only use them on my Camry and I make sure to shake the fark out of the car when I load it. Nothing has ever happened to give me a reason to doubt them, just basically the way they look/material and the poor finishing on the cuts.

Had these for about 10 years now, anything from a Honda Civic to Hyundai Palisade in size. Never had an issue with these.

These are absolutely not for low clearance vehicles. My Hyundai Elantra (Sport) can't get on without extending the ramp.

It seems to me that the ramps are used in place of the jack (as long as you're not working on wheels/tires), and that you should still use jack stands.
