But read speeds up to 460 MB/S? Seems a little on the slow side...

There is no reason to buy this at 2 TB.. Speeds are slow and feels a bit larger than other Samsung models (T7 or T9).

The only reason one should buy this model would be for the 8 TB version which I use as a backup for media. 8 TB version at this size is a life saver when you got to carry media stuff around. I paid $550 for the 8TB version and do not regret the purchase.

This is the implementation of the T5 series that goes up to 8TB. I suppose if you needed 8TB in SSD form the speed might not be an issue, but at the lower capacities it just doesn't make any sense.
