Have a 55" version of this, picture is great but the google ui is slow
5% off at Walmart via rotating category at Disc card
On paper, it has a lot of features many should want: QLED, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and Bluetooth. Also, I miss having the Google TV platform. I would say that it's a winner for a medium sized bedroom or something comparable.

There is a lower version of this at Target for the same price. The Q series seems to only be at Walmart.

Can't speak on this one specifically, but I have an older 50" TCL that I've been using as a PC monitor (4k@60Hz - coding/gaming/surfing/VLC) for 3 years now, would never go back to anything 'normal'.

If you are going to use the built in smart features of the tv, much better getting the TCL Roku TVs. The Google ones don't work quite as well. I own 3 43" TCLs and in general really enjoy them for a cheap TV.

While this is a good TV for the price, Dolby Vision isn't really a selling point, since it doesn't have true HDR (no dimming zones). HDR will generally look worse than SDR on these TVs, so the mentions of HDR and Dolby Vision are really just for marketing. Misleading marketing aside, which all manufacturers are guilty of, these are great for the price.

My believe was that Quantum Dot has dimming zones....

Good for the money. Got to pay to play, even with TCL.

I disagree somewhat. Xbox Series consoles use Dolby Vision so it does make the TV a bit attractive to a segment of gamers. Also, HDR being worse than SDR is a subjective thing. It really does depend on the content you're viewing, how you adjust settings, and viewing distance. I never had HDR issues with any 4K TVs I own. Also, we know that OLED TVs are king. Also, you have more dimming zones for larger TVs (non-OLED). It's a 43" TV that should provide more than a satisfactory picture quality.
