You would have to use butt connectors and a crimp tool for that, or twist the wires together, solder and heatshrink it. Back in the day, as a teen with his first car and stereo system, I used 3M electrical tape. For anything that will potentially be exposed to the elements, do the ladder, butt connectors and crimp it down or solder and heatshrink it. 🚗 📻

Are they good for that type of environment?
Have those cheap "overseas" white dual sided clips, but pretty unsatisfied with their robustness and even temporary reliability.
Curious if these are a quick solution for temporary connections?
Are they considered reusable, almost indefinitely? Pretty easy to open and close while getting a solid current caring contact?
Are there any alternative kits to consider?

I can't comment on your EXACT use case, but I have been doing electrical work (house and car) for like 25 years (non professional, but well beyond most DIY levels) and just found these this year. Love them, bought a smaller kit from this seller and the amount of ease it introduced to working on electricals was shocking compared to twist nuts. The connections feel great as well.
Also for your use case, they have a test light slot on both sides so you can check for power without unplugging anything, that might be useful for you.
