Great price, I had this last year and it was well worth it. I graduated years ago so wanted to bite while it was available.

Make sure you get the edition with Red Zone for $10 more.

Can you use any college student's info to get the discount? Hypothetically, of course.

You do not need YouTube TV. I don't have it and I used this deal just fine last season.
I can confirm this also. I use and don't have YouTube TV. The multicast option is great. I have a projector show the 4 squares of different games fit really well.

I bought this last year and it was a waste of money for me. It only shows the Sunday 1pm and 4pm games and only the ones that are not on your local TV channels. I got it so I wouldn't have to watch TV, I thought I could watch on the go while doing other things but nope. Just passing my experience along to those on the fence.
This is how its always been. I'm a Packer fan and while a lot of the games are shown in prime time or on local TV, they aren't all there. Also there are often other games going on that are worth watching and you can only watch 2 or 3 afternoon games out of 12 or 13 available. Plus you can watch them on the go which is more important for me if I'm away somewhere.

I recommend avoiding this crap service and researching a more unofficial subscription option that is available.
How do you think the unofficial ones get the stream?

With blackouts, terms and conditions I just pay $25 a month for iptv from a swap meet vendor.

It looks legal so it's a great deal for anyone who doesn't want to pay these exuberant prices for Sunday ticket.

Is it worth it if you only watch your local games? Or is it only for out of local market games? Trying to justify if I need it or not.

This is to watch out of market games. It's best use is for people who are not currently living in the same market as their favorite team. College students, for instance.

I personally did not love the service last year. I could not pause or rewind, or watch the game later. If I start the game late or go to the bathroom, I miss the action. So it's exactly like watching on regular TV. I thought, with it being digital and having to pay for it, that they would include those features. They don't. There is absolutely zero benefit to this if you have the games you want to watch available on local TV.

The student info trick, definitely still works and if you set up a Google account if you already have one with like registered info from previous purchases, maybe just set up a new Google profile login with that to YouTube and then do your student verification. The reason this is nice is because next year if you decide to renew it, it's a very easy process. All you have to do is log into that account that you created with your social login And it's going to retain all of your student registry information. I did that last year and renewing it This year was a breeze.

Is this the case if you have YouTube TV or were you just using this on YouTube?

Does anyone know how long it takes to get verified from SheerId? It say 2-3 business days. Also what were we suppose to put on the offer name and subject field?

I signed up for ST (no regular sub) thru the Youtube Tv app and it allows me to FF/RW & record to DVR. Of course it was regular ST & not the college version..

Signing up thru the youtube tv app should fix that. I was able to FF/RW & record to DVR. Try the ST sub on reddit for more info.
