Probably like 10 to 20 depending on length and quality. You can add a micro SD for more storage

I've put VLC on my fire tablets and loaded a whole bunch of mp4 files to an SD card. That's worked well for years. We've had to replace our "newer" tablets, but I still have one from 2015 that's playing that local media with no trouble at all.

AND the charging connector hasn't broken yet!

Another use for older/slower tablets is as a Blue Iris monitor. I use an old Fire 7 to monitor a couple of cameras.

These devices will be painfully slow since every update just slows down older devices. I have a Samsung Tab S3 from years ago and it's barely usable

Technically as many as you want. You can add a micro SD card. I download hour long episodes of mrs Rachel, blippi etc from YouTube and are great for long car rides

Just not if the kids are too young. The response time on these things are slowwww. Like 1-2 seconds after tapping. Really little kids will get frustrated quickly.

Or maybe you use this to teach your kid patience. Just remember you'll need that same patience while setting it up.

the fire HD 10 32GB is worth the price. you can use Fire ToolBox to unload all the junk it comes loaded with and turn it into a basic tablet. unfortunately some apps like youtube cannot be loaded onto it. you can sideload Firefox and use the browser to surf Youtube. I still use my 2017 version for watching twitch and youtube.

Yeah, they're not the most responsive for sure. Just cheap throw away tablets for young kids to watch videos on.
