It is an interesting POANG clone (which itself is a clone of another Nordic design). However, the back of this one doesn't go upright at the top, so it looks like you'd be quite reclined in this.

If the looks from the rear are important, this probably beats POANG, as its back is fully upholstered. This may make the lumbar area more comfortable, as the lowest wood bar digs into your back on the POANG (I modded mine to prevent this).

Also, the arms slope down a lot more, and at 32 lbs, it weighs a lot more than the POANG's 18 lbs. Some of this is massage/heat hardware, but the fully upholstered back may weigh more too.

It's worrying that they don't put a weight limit on this, as the design definitely requires one. POANG's max weight is 242 lbs and has a 10 year warranty. This has a 1 year warranty.

Ha, this is nostalgic. My Dad used to have a chair almost like this exact design (minus the massage/heat parts). There's no way something this thin would give a good massage though other than ineffective vibrations though lmao.

Ikea Poang ripoff. Just get the real thing, its one of the most comfy chairs Ive ever sat in

Edit: I missed the built-in massager, so there is that. But Im betting its a gimmick that you will use twice

Since there seems to be a lack of knowledge in this thread, Ikea POANG itself is a ripoff of Alvar Aalto's Easy Chair from 1939. Ikea deserves no credit for originality in its curved design, though POANG is a good interpretation of it.

lol oh good god. My tall (and wide) ~280lb self had been planning to buy a Poang for a listening chair in my office.

Not sure how I never considered the weight limit. Guess I better get back to healthy living a little faster…
