Wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy the 2-pack on the page which translates to $11 each?
I suggest having a voltage testor before you start working on electrical circuits. I wouldn't touch any wires until I'm certain there's no voltage running through them Even a non contact voltage pen will show you which wire is line and which is load
Nothing. What's a matter with you?

tip for those, you don't need a voltage tester to install this. just guess which is line or load and if it's wrong just switch them. nothing will happen. also 50% chance you get it right first try

Oh no, not touching the wires while the electricity is on. Keeping it off until it's all connected to test it and then switch around if needed.

It's a smart device communication protocol which also gets support from Apple HomeKit among others. Sorry if you were jk but it's a legit question

These usually have 2 black wires and you hook up line to one and load to the other but it doesn't matter which, the device can handle either way.

Yep..if you need multiple certainly a better deal to get the 2-pack. Now if wall plates that involve 2 switches side by side or three didn't cost more than the switch things would be great!

That's how I do it. I turn the main panel off and then work and then turn it back on and test.

Actually you'll have a 100% chance of getting it right as this switch can have either the line or the load attached to either of its black lead wires, So as long as you attach the line/load wires from the dumb switch you're replacing to either black lead on the smart switch, you'll be ok. But of course you'll need to confirm first that the correct circuit breaker is turned off and confirm that there are no live wires in the box after turning off the breaker. Oh and a neutral wire is required, which may or may not be available depending on how your switch box is wired.

EDIT: Also, this is regular price for these AFAIK, not a FP deal IMO.
