Ice maker in the freezer hasnt given us any grief so far. Freezer hold temp great.
We didnt pay much more than this for ours and wouldbt hesistste at this price. We did buy a 4 year extended warranty on it just in case.

I agree with LOTSALOTSADEALS below that something is wrong with your fridge. We have an LG counter depth and have no problems with temperatures. That said, yes, it did take a long time to reach the set temperatures when first plugged in, but all was good after that.
